This course is a professional training in Blender. which is a free and open-source 3D software used for creating animated films, visual effects, 3d art, etc.
This short course in Blender covers :
- Interface : user interface, 3d view, editor types, selecting objects, 3d cursor, user preferences.
- Basics : Creating objects, moving, rotating and scaling, naming objects and using datablocks, interaction modes, flat or smooth surfaces, modifiers, render and cycles, managing materials, animating objects and object deformers, curves and surfaces, metaball objects, text light camera, rendering.
- Modelling : Vertices, edges and faces, making selections, mesh modelling tools, looptools, F2, other options.
- Character Modelling : Mesh topology, modelling methods, reference planes, eyes, face, torso and arms, legs, boots, hands, cap, hair, final details.
- Unwrapping and UV’s : Unwrapping. uv and Image Editor, uv mapping tools, seams, live unwrap, adjusting, separating and connecting uv’s, packing uv’s.
- Painting Textures : Texture paint mode, base texture, texturing in image editing software, final touches.
- Material and Shaders : Masks and layers, channels, render materials, cycles materials, procedural textures, shading with blender render, shading with cycles.
- Character Rigging : Armatures, rigging the character, slimming, facial rig, custom shapes, final retouches, resizing character in different sizes.
- Animating Character : Inserting keyframes, animation editors, walk cycle.
- Camera Tracking : Movie clip editor, anatomy of a marker, camera settings, camera motion, testing.
- Lighting, Compositing and Rendering : Creating and testing lights, node editor, compositing in blender render, compositing in cycles, rendering settings, final render.
